About SHRESHTA (NETS) :-

The government has launched a scheme called SHRESHTA (Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas), which aims to provide seats to meritorious Scheduled Caste (SC) boys and girls in some of the best private residential schools in the country. It is expected that approximately 3,000 students will be selected each year under this scheme for admission to classes 9 and 11.
