Jharkhand Primary Teacher PRT (Class 1-5) :-

  • Passed +2 or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known); OR
  • Passed Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), obtained during the 2007-2009 session in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002; OR
  • Passed +2 or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.); OR
  • Passed +2 or Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education); OR Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known); OR
  • Candidates possessing the aforementioned educational qualifications—specifically, Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a one-year B.Ed. / two-year B.Ed. / B.Ed. (Special Education)—who have qualified in the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted for Classes 1 to 5, shall be permitted to appear in the examination subject to the condition that, upon appointment, they must successfully complete a six-month ‘Bridge Course’ within a maximum period of two years from a teacher training institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, at their own expense; failure to do so will result in their candidature not being considered and subsequently being cancelled; AND
  • Qualified in the Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) conducted by the Government of Jharkhand for Classes 1 to 5, in accordance with the guidelines formulated by the National Council for Teacher Education.

Jharkhand TGT (Class 06-08) –

  • Graduation (or equivalent) in the subject applied for, along with a two-year diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known); OR
  • Graduation (or equivalent) in the subject applied for with at least 50% marks and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree; OR Graduation (or equivalent) in the subject applied for with at least 45% marks and a one-year B.Ed. degree, provided the candidate had enrolled in the said training course by 31.05.2009 in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002, issued from time to time; OR
  • Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree; OR
  • Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. degree; OR
  • Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a two-year B.Ed. (Special Education) degree; AND
  • Qualification in the Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for Classes 6 to 8, conducted by the Government of Jharkhand in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education.
