The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has initiated the online application process for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. Applications have commenced for the Teacher Eligibility Test covering Paper I and Paper II—specifically for classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8, respectively. UPTET 2026 Overview

UPTET 2026 Notification has been released on 20 March 2026 and the online applications are invited from 27 March to 26 April 2026. The eligible candidates can apply online for the UPTET Exam 2026 from the UPTET 2026 official website https://upessc.up.gov.in/ or https://uptet.upessc.org/otr/info/

UPTET Education Qualification (Eligibility Criteria) :-

Name	Qualification
Primary Level (Class 1 to 5)	Passed 12th with at least 50% marks along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or BTC or equivalent qualification. Candidates having a B.Ed degree are also eligible.
Upper Primary Level (Class 6 to 8)	Graduation Degree along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Final eligibility conditions should be checked from the official notification.

Mode of Selection :-

After filling the form, you all will have to appear for the entrance test, for which your admit card will be issued.

First, you must visit the official website.
Here, you need to click on the online application form update dated March 27, 2026.
Now, begin by clicking on “New Candidate” to register.
You must complete the registration process carefully.
Next, you will need to fill out the application form provided.
After entering all the required information, you must upload your photograph and signature.
Finally, you will proceed to make the payment for the application form.
Afterward, submit the application form and take a printout of it.
