Education Qualification :-

Minimum of 55% marks at the Master’s degree. A relaxation of 5% marks is available for SC/ST/BC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of the state, and physically challenged persons of Bihar are also given a 5% relaxation at the Master’s degree

Qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor conducted by UGC/CSIR or any other UGC-accredited test; or
Been awarded a Ph.D. Degree as per the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, entitling exemption from NET; or
Registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to the implementation of UGC Regulation 2009, subject to fulfilment of specified conditions (regular mode award, evaluation by at least two external examiners, open viva voce, two published research papers, and presentation of at least two papers at UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-sponsored conferences), duly certified by the Registrar or Dean of the university concerned; or
A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign University/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (QS, THE, or ARWU – Shanghai).

Selection Process :-

Selection is based on a total of 100 marks, comprising Academic Qualification (88 marks) and Interview-cum-Demonstration (12 marks)
