There is important news for candidates aspiring to build a career in the nursing sector in Rajasthan. The Directorate of Medical, Health, and Family Welfare Services, Rajasthan (Jaipur), has issued a brief notification regarding admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) training course for the 2026-27 session. Online applications for admission to government and private nursing schools will commence on July 29, 2026. Eligible candidates can apply until 11:08 PM on August 10, 2026. Candidates who have passed Class 12 are eligible for the admission process, with preference given to those from the science stream.

Rajasthan GNM Admission Eligibility Criteria :-

Candidates applying must possess a minimum qualification of 10+2.
Preference will be given to candidates from the biology stream (having passed in PCB subjects).
If candidates from the Biology category are not available, candidates from other subject categories within the same caste category will be considered for admission.
The minimum marks required are 40 percent for candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Most Backward Classes (MBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories, and 35 percent for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.

Fees for the Rajasthan GNM Nursing Course 2026?

Government training fee (annual): ₹10,000 per year for male candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories, while the fee is ₹4,000 per year for all others.
The fee for private training schools is set at ₹50,000 per year.
The counseling fee is ₹500.
